NYT Digital’s Revenues Increase 15 Percent: New York Times Digital, which runs NYTimes.com, saw a 15.9 percent increase in second quarter revenues to $17.8 million, compared to $15.3 million in the year-ago quarter. Revenues improved as a result of stronger advertising, especially in the travel, retail, finance and telecom categories.
Operating profits for the digital division amounted to $1.9 million, compared with an operating loss of $1.1 million in the year-ago period. EBITDA totaled $3.96 million, up from a loss of $0.68 million in the year-ago quarter.
No indication on how the various subscription services the company has started over the last year are faring.
