UIEvolution, a Seattle-based mobile content delivery company, has received $10 million in venture capital from game publisher Square Enix, Inspire Corp. and Ignition Partners.

UIEvolution, which was founded by former Microsoft software architect Satoshi Nakajima, is trying to solve a complex problem by developing software that helps media companies and game publishers easily send content to mobile devices, regardless of the device or the operating system.

UIEvolution’s software is being used by Disney, Moviso, TOS and others. Disney bought the software for its ESPN and Movies.com units. ESPN used the software over the past college football season to send play-by-play updates to wireless phone subscribers. It is delivering real-time updates for the NBA. Movies.com is using the software to deliver film reviews, movie times, actor biographies and movie posters.
