Summary:

AmpI didn’t expect this…Amp’d Mobile has bought Ninja Mobile‘s development division, which had created the base (named Rope Platform) upon which Amp’d's community, blogging, dating, commerce, multiplayer gaming, location-based and additional server-driven applications, are being built. Since Amp’d is focussed on content it needs a very good user interface, but I didn’t expect it to bring the development of the interface in-house…although it makes sense. Although the acquisition was announced today, the description of Ninja Mobile at the bottom of the release states “Its development arm was acquired by Amp’d Mobile in July 2005″.
The entertainment division of Ninja Mobile will continue to produce, aggregate and sell various mobile content.
