– Total digital revenues for first half 2005 were $101 million, compared to $32 million in the year-ago half.
– Online downloads were 55 percent of that, online subscriptions was 5 percent and mobile was 40 percent.
– The PDF mentions that 50 Cent’s latest album sold more than $1 million worth of ringtones.
– Revenue from these businesses grew from essentially nothing in the first half of 2003 to over Euro 100 million for the first half of 2005.
– US digital music market share is 36.1% YTD.
– UMG has sold over 25 million Mastertones in the US YTD.
– Earned over Euro 27 million from mobile products outside of the US in first half of 2005.
– Revenue from online subscriptions has grown at an 8% average monthly growth rate the past 12 months.
– UMG is working to establish a licensing structure for podcasting
