Funding news: YouTube’s $5 Million; Sphere’s $0.5 Million; Flock’s $2 Million

These fundings have not yet been announced, hence lumping them together for now. Also, they’re of the Web 2.0 variety:

– Youtube: Youtube is on online video upload and sharing site (“Flickr of video”) and Om reported recently that it has raised $5 million from Sequoia Capital at pre-money valuation of $15 million.

– Sphere: This new blog search engine, not yet launched, has received about $0.5 million from seven (presumably angel) investors.

– Flock: Flock, an alternative browser about to be launched, which we’ve written about before, has received $2 million funding from Bessemer, Catamount and a bunch of angels.
