Digital Chocolate, the mobile gaming company started by Trip Hawkins, has appointed a new board member and VP Sales. Mobile industry veteran Gary Schofield was named VP of Worldwide Sales and entertainment media expert Scott Sassa was appointed to Digital Chocolate’s board of directors.
Sassa was till recently the CEO of Friendster, where he recently left under some pressure because of lack of company performance. Before that, he served as president of NBC West Coast and was responsible for overseeing all of NBC’s entertainment-related businesses. He currently serves as CEO-in-Residence at Kleiner, Perkins, Caulfield & Byers.
Schofield was VP, Worldwide Sales for SEVEN Networks, a leading developer of mobile messaging solutions, among other positions he has held.
