Fresh on the heals of buying out Wired News for $25 million, it has now bought out NutritionData.com, a health and nutrition site that provides tools and information on a healthier lifestyle.
NutritionData.com was founded in 2003. Most data on the site is supplied from the USDA, which updates information every six months.
The deal allows for the expansion of food and health content on the Web, crucial categories for Conde Nast in print and online, the company said. The tool set could be integrated into Epicurious.com, or website of Gourmet and Bon Appetit magazines, as well as on the companion sites for magazines such as Self or Glamour.
