The Economic Times: Singapore-based Pacific Internet (PacNet), one of the largest independent internet communications service providers in the Asia Pacific region, is looking at acquiring companies in the Indian ISP and wireless broadband space. PacNet has appointed Raj Metrani, the former director of operations for Cable & Wireless (India), as the MD for Indian operations. Pacific Internet has identified India and China as its growth engines as part of its plans to triple company’s global revenues in the next 2-3 years.
Currently, in India, PactNet has products like net access, hosting, e-mail and global roaming services. It plans to get into space such as Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) solutions , Multi Protocol Label Switching solutions and security solutions.
