Apparently, Dhruva Interactive has been thinking about the online gaming space for some time now. The Economic Times had reported yesterday that Dhruva has two domains registered – gametantra.com and kheltantra.com.
I just spoke to K. Rajesh Rao, CEO of Dhruva Interactive about their plans for these portals and whether they’re close to launch. This is what he had to say:
“We will have storefronts for our games. It’s subject to our content being ready and there being sufficient funding. We do own gametantra and kheltantra as portal names and we do plan to use them at some point in time. There is much work to be done. We don’t believe that there is any rush to launch a site, because ultimately these portals will run only if there is good content. It’s not about being the first.”
I just checked and it seems gametantra and kheltantra, which redirect to the Dhruva Interactive site, were registered in Jan 2000.
