It’s a coincidence that we’re adding David Eun, vice president of content partnerships for Google, to our list of confirmed panelists the same day we cover a talk he gave in New York, but his appearance as a newsmaker and a conference participant shouldn’t be a surprise. Google is in the white-hot center of the online content business and Eun, a member of the Google Management Group, is the search giant’s point man in the area with responsibilities that include Google Video and YouTube. He’ll be on our Hollywood panel.
In a Google blog post last fall, Eun enumerated “three primary principles to ensure that we respect content owners and protect their rights: we respect copyright; we let owners choose whether we index their content in our products; we try to bring benefit back to content owners by partnering with them.” Come to The Economics of Social Media on April 26 at the Beverly Hilton, where we’ll ask Eun how Google is living up to those principles, Google plans for social media and what we can expect from the company in the future.
