I'm a freelance writer and blogger and most of the work I do is from home. However my desktop is not in a room with a TV so most of the time I stream Television from my pc. I am interested to try Joost out but as Charles said workplaces (mostly tech companies) don't care if you watch tv from your desk as long as productivity is up. So even if I were to work in an office, Joost is a great service. I wonder if Joost can offer HD shows, and of course the speed of your internet is important to consider.

I think what providers are forgetting about web-delivered TV is that people are watching it at work and while working at home. Times have changed a lot. Employers don't care if you play streaming video and audio at your workstation, so long as you get your job down. Plus how many people work at home now, they can watch TV while working - all on the computer.

BTW I loved your Coke vending machine analogy. I am in the vending business and I always compare it to the web business as far as distribution is concerned.

Great Article!
