– Entertainment Weekly: This one comes as a surprise since Scott’s star was on the ascendant in ad world, and he was a almost-a-lifer at AdAge: Time Inc.’s Entertainment Weekly has named Advertising Age publisher Scott Donaton as its next publisher, to fill the slot vacated by Dave Morris last month. More in this AdAge story. In a memo to staff, Time Inc. Exec VP Stephanie George said Donaton’s perspective on the relationship between entertainment and business made him an ideal pick for the position.
– Entertainment Media Works: The contextual advertising and social shopping firm has appointed Steven Rosenberg as its CEO. Prior to this, he spent 14 years at HBO where he most recently served as President of HBO International and EVP of HBO.
– Nielsen Business Media: Greg Farrar has been promoted to be the president of Nielsen Business Media. Formerly COO, Farrar has been leading the division since March following the sudden death of Bob Krakoff. In his new position, Farrar is responsible for the direction, operations and growth of Nielsen Business Media, which includes brands such as Mediaweek, Billboard, The Hollywood Reporter as well as the Kitchen/Bath Industry Show out Outdoor Retailer trade show. – NBA: Steve Hellmuth has been promoted to EVP-operations and technology for NBA Entertainment from SVP. Hellmuth manages the NBA.com network of sites and is responsible for the Information Technology, Broadcast Operations, and Engineering departments.
