Some professional sports leagues are powerful enough that they know they can charge fans for content. Some like England’s Premier League have sued Google (NSDQ: GOOG) and YouTube to protect it. Then there

  1. I love being able to watch extended highlights online, Fox Soccer Channel gives the high level highlights and then for more detail I can come watch more at Mlsnet, and I have paid for a whole season before and will again. $20 for a whole season to see any and every game is a bargain. I think other sports could learn from MLS in this area.

  2. There's a professional soccer league in the U.S.??? Imagine that. This is the funniest announcement since the Canadian Football League announced it's push into mobile – I think all this content is under the "I don't care" menu in my VZW wap browser.

I eagerly await the WNBA's mobile strategy next.
