– Skype: Skype is getting a new, permanent CEO, following the resignation of Niklas Zennstrom last October. Josh Silverman, current head of eBay’s (NSDQ: EBAY) Shopping.com unit, has been tapped to head the challenged unit, and will report directly to CEO-elect John Donahue. Silverman joined eBay in 2003, following a stint as CEO of eVite. Replacing Silverman at Shopping.com is Andre Haddad, who has been with eBay since 2001, when his company iBazar was acquired.
– PlayStation: President of *Sony* Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios Phil Harrison will be stepping down Feb. 29. President and group CEO of Sony (NYSE: SNE) Computer Entertainment International Kazuo Hirai will assume his position. No specific reason was given for Harrison’s departure, but CNET speculates the move may be because of the PlayStation 3′s poor performance, as Ken Kutaragi’s departure last April was widely assumed to be a result of the video game console’s poor sales.
– Nike: Tesa Aragones has been tapped for the new position of head of the global digital brand, reporting to global director-brand connections Stefan Olander and global brand director-women’s training Nancy Monsarrat AdAge reports. Most recently, she was managing partner of digital branding at David & Goliath and headed its Hispanic unit, DNG.
– Yodle, Inc.: The online advertising solutions provider has appointed tech and sales veteran Mike DeLuca as its VP of sales. DeLuca comes from *Yahoo*, where he served as VP of sales for Yahoo (NSDQ: YHOO) HotJobs.
– Ripple: The interactive network has announced John McMenamin as its new VP of sales and strategy. He was most recently VP of global sales and marketing for *Dow Jones* International. Release.
– CafeMom.com: Robert Palma has been appointed as SVP of sales for the social networking site, where he will be responsible for revenues, sales efforts, and working with top brands and agencies. Prior to joining CafeMom, Palma was regional VP of sales at MySpace. Release.
– Highland Capital Partners: Harvard’s John Palfrey has joined the firm as a venture executive. A researcher and teacher of intellectual property in digital media, Palfreye is Clinical Professor of Law at Harvard Law School and the executive director of the Berkman Center for Internet and Society.
