– MOKO Online: Australian company Loop Mobile (ASX: LPM) has launched an online version of its MOKO Mobile community, giving its users access via PC (and of course letting other people sign up). The address is the same, the community detects what device is being used for access. MOKO has 100,000 paid registrations, is on carrier decks in the UK and Australia, and claims 100 million page impressions per month (1,000 per user) and an average user session time of 75.8 minutes in October 2007. If these numbers are correct Loop has figured out how to keep people on its site, and at this point is probably going for scale.
– Sega Mobile: The game company said today the classic Sonic the Hedgehog has surpassed more than 8 million downloads since launching on mobile phones in North America and Europe in early 2006. I have said it before and I will say it again. No one is paying any attention to Loop Mobile and why? Who knows.
The whole team is pulling hard for their business plan and they make one new benchmark after another. 90% of the mobile content newbees on the scene are just trying to find a way to make money.
Loop is making money and creating growth without all the hype. Billions are being paid for mobile content sites that haven't made any money and may never make money. Lots of free use and then someone has to figure out how to make cash out of the whole idea. Watch Loop become HUGE! Bill Badman
