Kanwal Rekhi, one of the major telecom entrepreneurs from Silicon Valley and a very active member of TIE, has launched a new venture fund in India: Inventus Capital Partners is the new US-India venture firm, with a total fund size of $125 million, and will invest US$ 1-10 million in 15-20 early-growth companies over the next few years, it said.
Among the names involved: Kanwal Rekhi and John Dougery are based in Silicon Valley, while Samir Kumar and Parag Dhol are based in Bangalore.
