Kewego: Express Newspapers, Spain’s Metro newspaper, Filmtrailer.com and France’s FC Metz football club have picked the French white-label YouTube clone to be the media player for video on their websites. The operation is run by John Gillespie in the UK. The Express deal includes the Daily Express, Daily Star and OK magazine.

Wizzard on Joost: Podcast and vidcast distributor Wizzard has licensed TV platform Joost to carry its range of shows, including Tiki Bar TV and programming from Hillary Duff. That follows today’s other Joost deal involving Hollyoaks maker All3Media.

Sky iTV ads: BSkyB (NYSE: BSY) is discounting prices for ads on its interactive TV platform. The satcaster tells MediaWeek it’s because its seeing the wholesale cost of its interactive airtime cut in half, though we’ve heard some other media operators are slashing their ad prices to stimulate growth in the down economy. Speed of the iTV service is also due to get quicker.

  1. Calling Kewego a 'French white-label YouTube clone' is a bit lazy. It's very much more a B2B play, with a very different business than YouTube. It's worth having a look at kewego.com as your summation of their proposition is a bit out of date.

I know about Kewego; I spoke about this with John a couple of weeks back. The description isn't a sleight, just a description… "white label" = "B2B".
