Tina: At 84 and beyond my depth in cyberspace, I resubmit these thoughts: On C-span you looked great in your chic red dress. I must add your legs are as shapely as i have seen in many decades of observation. It goes without saying you are whip-smart. However, as a retired fully certified, pasteurized Ph.D. Speech Language Pathologist I hear a voice that is hoarse, scratchy and, we say, dysphonic. Probably post-menapausal. No offense. I have spent thirty five years "doing voice" along with bedside work with Aphasia and patients with strokes and head injury. Now I've dampened down, living in Boulder with an ancient cat, Smokey, age 22(!) I hold Life Membership in The American Speec/Language Association. Advice: Go to your Otolaryngologist to rule out organicity in your vocal cord. Following that think about phoning me at 720-5630118. In two to four telephone visits, I can help you regain your best possible voice. Of course, at no charge. Jusgt sign me in for all things Daily Beast. I watch Rachel Maddow and your feisty blonde staffer. Best wishes. I loo forward to helping you. Don Shields, Ph.D.

Consumer magazines have always been slower than their newspaper and B2B cousins to enter the digital arena. I wonder if The Daily Beast will change all that and encourage Vogue, Vanity Fair and other high end titles to put more effort into their digital offering. Such competition can only lead to better designed websites and livelier content as more people with different skills get involved.
