London, UK-based start-up TagText has raised £1 million in funding from British VC NortStar Equity Investors. The company produces an integrated messaging product that allows young people to send animated avatars to their friends via mobile, social networks and the internet. The service is currently in Beta testing in the UK, and will roll out internationally in phases in 2009 (release).
