A former radio executive is set to relaunch advertising portal Search.co.uk, using a performance-related revenue model and with the help of VC funding. Thedrum.co.uk reports that Peter Gillespie, previously MD of the Edinburgh-based Talk107 station and former director of recruitment ad firm Search consultancy, is now MD of Search.co.uk which is backed by VC firm Saints Capital Chamonix. Gillespie’s new company has bought the existing Search.co.uk URL from his former employer Search Consultancy and while the site is currently operating, it will be overhauled with a new model by next month, initially focusing on Scotland and then the rest of the UK.
