Read the gamers lips! "No price cut no sale" Here's "My" strongest statement, "keep the ps3 at its current price and I keep my money and spend it on more games for the consoles I already own". When the ps3 first came out it was worth every penny and more. But as you can tell by the sales figures not everyone was convinced. The gamble didn't payoff. Now sometime later the gamble is on " long term sales". It is a shame that the market wasn't ready for the high end console. I wanted to buy one, I hadn't even had a HD TV yet. I believe a whole lot of consumers were in the same situation. So the blu-ray player had no appeal what so ever. I have always been a fan of Sony but I was a fan of reasonable spending first. I do hope to own one someday but the luxery item is low on the list of must haves do to the price. Replacing all my standard def tvs (6 in total not counting the bathroom or kitchen) with HDTVs has been more of a goal then toys for them.
