I've been seeing them all over town. It winds up generating conversations between we "phone twins." It feels great to have a phone of the same caliber as the iPhone (to the general public) and feel somewhat special.

"a phone of the same caliber as the iPhone"…. Are you on drugs or work for Palm?
I know ONE person that has it…and is not THAT thrilled with it.
Don't get me wrong. Is it the best Palm phone yet? Yes. Is it even in the same zip code as the iPhone? No.

You have got to be kidding me. I have both an iPhone and the Pre.
Net out: The Pre is the phone I use for every day stuff. Better call quality, much better for typing emails, sms, IM etc…even with the new OS3.0 keyboard.
And the ability to multi-task is a huge deal. Why can't the iPhone get this done?
The Pre also has a better screen. And, at least were I use the phone, better cell coverage.
I use the iPhone for the applications. Granted, I don't have the new iPhone but other than the applications, of which I have a lot loaded, I prefer the Pre for everyday use.
My guess is that once there are more applications for the Pre, I will stop using the iPhone completely and once my contract is up, try out a different phone from ATT or maybe get one of the Android phones coming on the market.
