HT Media Expands Board Of Directors, Adds CEO Rajiv Verma, Former Citi Exec Ajay Relan
HT Media Ltd today added two new members to its board of directors. Ajay Relan, a former managing director at Citi Venture Capital International who currently runs his own private equity firm, will join the board as non-executive independent director and HT Media CEO Rajiv Verma will be whole-time director on the board. Verma will continue as CEO.
Relan’s association with HT goes back to the time when CVCI invested in HT Media. The PE firm exited HT Media earlier this year. Relan left CVCI in July last year.
Other members of the board include chairperson Shobhana Bhartia, Roger Greville (representative of Henderson Equity partners), former E&Y India chairman K.N. Memani, Y.C. Deveshwar (chairman & CEO of ITC Ltd), former bureaucrat N.K. Singh, as well as Shamit and Priyavrat Bhartia.
