Really – what was there about his NYT piece that was so controversial? It was but an intelligent stab at 10 forthcoming trends for 2010 – one of which was the basic understanding that a) Nielsen’s Law (http://www.useit.com/alertbox/980405.html) makes content transfer increasingly easy and b) the emergence of new cultural products is threatened without either sustaining funding for the existing entertainment industrial complex or creating an alternative.

Honestly, I don’t listen to U2 very much – but all this Bono hating is so uncool. He’s clearly very switched on. Detach your views of Rock Star Bono from those of Intellectual Bono.
