– PPA: Barry McIlheney is the new chief executive of trade association Periodical Publishers Association. He replaces Johnathan Shephard, who left last September (PG). The news comes at the same time that the Association of Online Publishers has announced it will split off from the PPA to serve its members’ needs better. – EU: Neelie Kroes has won the backing of the European Parliament in her bid to take up the new role of commissioner for the EU’s Digital Agenda. She is currently the antitrust commissioner for the EC. (EurActiv)
– Warner Bros Intl: Andy Zein is joining Warner Bros International TV Distribution as senior VP of creative, format development and sales. He had been managing director of Tiger Aspect, now owned by Endemol.
