If you take a look at their SiteMeter plugin at the bottom of Gothamist, you will see that Gothamist has 5 million pageviews per month on average.

In my opinion, they picked up Gothamist at a steal. GothamList, their newsletter, is like a mini-Groupon. Perhaps Gothamist has mismanaged itself by focusing too much on aggregation, but with some focus, I bet Rainbow can make this acquisition pay off many times over – within the first 12-18 months.
