Heavily-backed behavioral targeting firm AudienceScience has bought up hispanic ad network Consorte Media. An official announcement is coming tomorrow, a representative tells us. In a press release, AudienceScience calls attention to the growing purchasing power of the Hispanic population in the U.S. — and says that currently few in the “advertising community” are catering to it.
No financial terms of the deal were released, although both companies share a backer in the Mayfield Fund. AudienceScience, which was previously known as Revenue Science, has raised more than $50 million in funding, while Consorte Media had raised at least $7 million.

The truth is the CEO was loca en la cabeza. No one could work for her with extremely high employee turnover. Consorte could never take off and when the money ran out this “acquisition” was the best way to save face for all involved.
