It looks like that the big G is pushing Yahoo out of the market, Yahoo even dropped (twice) their adsense program that is now run by Chitika. I would love to see Yahoo striking back :)
Despite the decline in direct mail as a result of the rise of electronic communications, direct mail still will always remain a viable marketing source.
Being in direct mail marketing specializing in mailing lists, we are seeing a slight drop in direct mail. I think there is an initial hype of social media marketing which I believe will fade once there enough time has gone by to analize the actual response rates. Take a local restaurant for example, is it going to bring them any customers using twitter or facebook? These local businesses will continue to grow using direct mail directly into local households.
