This is quite wonderful news. NPR is an essential news source for many people, myself included. However, it is not always the most accessible so being able to access it through the iPad, anywhere you may happen to travel, is fantastic.

This sounds as though it will also be very beneficial to the NPR's stability. It offers them the opportunity to broaden their audience which will more than likely increase donations and support.

There are two interview series that tie into this article very nicely that you might enjoy, one on the iPad and the other on the future of journalism. With such a steady increase of hand held technology the worlds of social media and standard media / journalism seem to be melding.
