However, we do want to point out that Obopay agrees with Sandy Shen’s position that in developed markets where existing payment networks have been well established for years mobile payment service need to be built on top of the existing payment behavior and infrastructure. In fact, most users in developed markets, like the US, have stated strong preferences to receive mobile money solutions through their trusted financial service provider (i.e their bank).
