How does the new wave of daily deals coupons sites stack up in Europe?
After it bought its European competitor, Germany’s CityDeal, last year, Groupon – led by CEO Andrew Mason – leapt in popularity and has caused visits to the sites to surge.
Unique monthly visitors ballooned by 162 percent over the last year, comScore’s Media Metrix says.
With 12.3 million of those uniques, Groupon takes over a third.
