Isn't that the kind of PaidContent you want your company to directly sponsor? It has been this way for years now, so ad clients, parents and teachers must know this well, and be OK with what Yahoo does. It's what the intenet is all about!

In the past six years, Yahoo has lost hundreds of ad clients due to them placing these business' logos along side some the nastiest content on the internet, hosted on their so-called "jewel" of an unmonetizable mess. The content being heralded here is the kind of stuff no decent, respected company would allow direct sponsorship of in any way. Countless advertisers have again recently pulled their marketing efforts away from Yahoo, as a result of them placing their ads directly on tons of unlabeled smutt. The lies that Yahoo has tried to get away with, much like those told here, have cost them billion$. Until Yahoo starts being more honest about what they are doing, and stops trying to trick people into trusting them while they lie about the nature of their content, to both parents and advertisers, they will continue to lose. All they have to do is regulate their networks but they are too cheap and lazy, and obviously think the rest of the world is too stupid to figure out that Flickr is actually a huge pornotopia. Reading this, maybe they're right.

Ross, thanks for running with an idea that we were doing quite successfully 4 years ago at Yahoo News -- integrating Flickr photos into news coverage. Of course, back then, we had to do it manually because Flickr engineering didn't want to play nice with us. Thanks, too, for getting people on the same page to make this happen. Perhaps what you meant by "humble" is that no one told you your idea has been around for years.
