I don’t know, Staci. Huffpo seemed to change almost immediately. It seemed cheaper, less tech savvy… it was subtle but you could just sense that something was different. Maybe that’s just my thing with AOL. They are going to cut and cut and cut until they absolutely ruin it. By next quarter they’ll have 50 banner plastered everywhere just to squeeze everything can out of it.

I think we’ve been pretty clear about this all along — AOL is being changed by HuffPo, not the other way around. HuffPo is what Arianna wants it to be — and so is most of AOL’s content. TC, too, has been changed for its own reasons; all AOL has done as far as I can tell is give TC resources and its publisher has leadership now over all tech.

While I wish Christina Norman all the best, I must say The Huffington Post is dead – destroyed as soon as it was acquired by AOL. It used to be an exciting forum – now it’s just a mess. AOL is really good a destroying things (e.g., TechCrunch)
