If your Netflix profile says English for language, you will receive Spanish language by default – the Wii app does not seem to check your profile. It seems that Netflix’s Head of user experience has no experience. So, better still, wait until Netflix fixes its Wii service otherwise you will be frustrated.

As for local benefits, some of the programming money is going to regional programmers but I’m not aware of anything beyond that and the customer service jobs.
