My wife and I are active in receiving news on line. We have not subscribed to a daily newspaper in print for years. The one thing we treated as a weekly highlight was to get a large Americano and settle in to read the ONLY print paper we chose to buy; The Sunday NYT. We took turns as to who got to read the Week in Review first each Sunday. Yes we thought the $5 was excessive but the value was there.....Rich, Friedman, Dowd, Kristoff, the cartoons, the quotes from the late night comics....and the rest of the paper....2 hours of Sunday bliss.

Then came the $ 6 ...hmmmmm ok...then The Week in Review changes .....so now my wife and I settle in for the same Americanos...with our IPads and NO NYT. It is unlikely I will buy th.e paper again. And please don't expect me to pay for an online service unless it's very nominal at best. There is too much solid stuff to choose from....like The Sunday Telegraph on line. and it's free.

Just saying,
