Flash is still a very big part of the Internet. Even though the future
lies in HTML5, flash is still needed for many things. I find it
disappointing that Adobe dropped Flash, rather than investing some more
time into making it work better…. Android phones had an upper hand by
having Flash. Its one of the main reasons (I think) people buy them… If
you told me that the newer Android phones no longer have Flash, I would
much rather buy an iPhone…

I don’t think excludes is the right word here, Mike. Adobe has not yet released the plugin for ICS, as Ed points out. Also, the headline, Zaphod, is factually correct…

That is a false equivalence. On iOS you’re not allowed to install Flash, and Adobe isn’t allowed to distribute it to you. Android hasn’t forbidden Flash on devices, the proof of which is that most Android devices have it. But on the latest version the plugin just isn’t ready for ICS yet.
That said, Adobe itself is giving up developing mobile Flash soon, though they’ve committed to making it work on ICS.

I love how when iOS excluded Flash support, it was catastrophic. Now, when ICS excludes it, it’s somehow OK. I guess Flash on Android was jus marketing hype and false differentiation all along.
