		<description><![CDATA[I&#039;m no defender of Amazon but this article is just hit-generating twaddle. Comparing apples and amazons is just silly. Apple should be compared only to other device makers: Samsung, HP, Dell, etc., while Amazon, a distributor and not a device manufacturer (the Kindle has minimal proprietary hardware design from Amazon -- it&#039;s all outsourced), should be compared to its online competition: eBay, E-Commerce China Dangdang and then also to competitors with online and bricks &amp; mortar anchors: Barnes &amp; Noble and Wal-mart. Of course Amazon&#039;s margins are lower, and always will be. Apple&#039;s margins are exceptional, far above those of its real competitors. Run your charts again Dell or RIM and get back to us.]]></description>
