You big-time journalists on the tech-beat don’t know or won’t report on
Apple’s big announcement at the Guggenheim scheduled for 1/19. You are treating
Apple like Tiger Woods! “Oh, if I report
anything they don’t like, they won’t talk to me anymore!” Focus on education? Big Shock!
Big Secret! Do you think it will
stun the world if reported that this involves Apple and McGraw-Hill Education
and the focus is on STEM areas Math and Science ……. Surprise! Content on pads….. itextbooks? Do your homework! The development has been going on for MONTHS! It
all started when Terry McGraw took a little trip out to CA last year to visit
with a not-doing-so-well Mr. Jobs…

Students are looking for options and if this would pull down the prices of traditional textbooks, why not?

‘Nothing big”… <> well anything that gives an outlet to digital publishers using video is a big leap. As an small eBook publisher I am tired of hearing “oh, we can’t sell your eBooks if they have video: ….
The whole point about eBooks is that you can have interactive elements and video and audio otherwise you may as well buy the paperback.
