I barely use a cellphone, but I also have slowed down my pc purchases – and it’s not the economy, I personally can afford a new pc. The reason? Why purchase one? That’s the reason.

PC’s do a lot – I use them for my work, but a new PC doesn’t do anything the old PC isn’t still doing. At some point PC’s just got fast.

That wasn’t true in the days of 8086/80286/80386/486/Pentium – every release was much faster than the last, but still, never fast enough. Nowadays – whoa – the computer is plenty fast. You may want an i7 over an i5, but just for bragging rights, that i5 is plenty fast enough.

This article only tells half of story, and is obviously biased towards Apple Inc. Check facts about Android, every day there are millions more Android handsets sold everywhere in this world.

Android isn’t shrinking Apple did well in that quarter but that didn’t effect the overall market share of Android and iOS’ Android still has a large margin and as Android tablets become more popular this margin is likely to increase.

This article, whilst on point, spectacularly ignores the fact that Apple Mac sales (ie a PC) sales are also significantly up! This is despite the industry PC sales decline. In fact the industry PC sales include Macs and as such, Apple’s sales buffer that decline. It’s worse for the rest of the industry than it would appear.
