I am a cable cutter since 2009. I added 4 HD tuners to my family pc and distribute content through house with Xbox and media pc. I went from $180 a month satellite bill to 8.99 a month Netflix. I also cut the 45 dollar month phone bill for 60 dollar year Skype. I had to do all of this after a layoff in 2009 and even though I might drive my family nuts I cannot convince myself to going back to 220 a month for cable services. I welcome all new packet distribution methods it is inevitable so i not sure why content providers resist. I guess it is impossible to teach old dog new tricks. My apps that I use are Windows 7 media pc, Netflix, Playon, Hulu.

I expect this number to level it. Today there are two types of cord cutter: Economic and Techno. To the mainstream watching cable is just easier. We need some service provider breakthrough to take it mainstream. And with the battle over content that just hasn't been possible - yet.
