Maybe Loeb needs to go. This is how I see it: Loeb is like that child in the car on a family trip who won't stop whining because his parents wouldn't stop for ice cream. It happened. Say it once. Stay and support or leave.

If you misrepresent your resume at that level, sure it's grounds for something, but it ain't so cut and dry.

What Yahoo! needs is a head down approach. A new leader has been appointed and his initiatives are being carried out. Employees need to work hard and do what Thompson asks.

What a new CEO would do to Yahoo! Is cause more uncertainty and lower morale which won't help talent retention and acquisition.

And come on...who really cares what his resume says? A resume is just a bunch of selling points put together by the one who is doing the selling. Yes, you can't flat out lie, but if you're so concerned with the statements in it, do a more thorough job at vetting them in the hiring process.

What you do or did is far more important than what you say you do or did. Look to Thompson's work at PayPal if there is concern.

You had me at "a three-person special committee to investigate its CEO’s academic credentials." That, all by itself, is insane. If it took three-person special committees to verify people's academic credentials, hardly anyone would ever be hired to do anything anywhere.
