While most of Martin's comments are true; TiVo from Virgin Media is a great product and the GUI is similar to US with few differences. I agree with Martin, what are the chances??

" Infused by its Virgin deal, the company posted a net gain of 387,000 subscribers using its boxes and DVR interface in 2011, its first usage uptick in several years"

But these aren't TiVo's customers - they're Virgin's. There's nothing TiVo can do to interact with them or to retain them and the dreadful quality of the UK TiVo means there's a good chance that churn will shoot up once the first wave of ordinary customers come up for renewal.

As anyone who pops by VM's forums know, UK customers are still waiting for FULL red button services, reminders and for the box to use a single tuner to record back to back programmes on the same channel.

It also can't search music on demand content stored on VM's own network AND users are experiencing a fault where the iPlayer app cuts off the ends of programmes.

All of these things were done without problem by the now killed-off V+HD and when VM advertised the TiVo as doing all that box did and more the ASA asked them to stop making the claim.

PLus what are the chances of VM actually getting the rights to stream content between boxes?
