Very interesting move to bring together a wider selection of relevant content (you could use the word "curate", if it weren't so tired). But, in terms of adding value, given that the online content on Forbes, The Economist and Bloomberg is free, what additional value will Chicago Tribune readers get from this?

Hi Amy,

Thanks for your comment. I had hoped it was clear in the original story that only registration, not paywall, is going into effect right away. I've since clarified above. Good luck with the third party content idea -- it's a bold but sensible strategy.

Appreciate your interest. Please allow me to clarify a point.

Mainly, our site redesign encompasses many things, and the addition of content for registered members is but one aspect. But, one thing to note is that our move to offer registered users deeper and more content, is not requiring them to pay to do so. Print subscribers need only connect their digital and print subscriptions. Online-only readers need only register.

Respectfully,
Amy Guth
