Their Android line’s real problem, though, is access to the core Google apps. Amazon seems aware of this with their recent purchase of a mapping company.

It will ultimately come down to how much of a user’s world they can offer with a single sign-in, preferably theirs and not Facebook’s. Look for lots of Amazon acquisitions in the coming months.
