Value for money, on the other hand, is a different story altogether, so in the case of B&N’s 16GB Tablet for $199 vs Amazon’s 8GB Fire for $199 they are definitely offering the better.

Your article completely conflicts your headline. The 16gb Nook Tablet is $199 compared to the 6gb Kindle Fire or 8gb Nexus 7. That doesn’t sound like bringing prices in line. It sounds more like beating both on price.
