But it would be interesting to find out how much of a loss this really is…how many books was Hyperion publishing per year? How big is the backlist?

The utterly crappy, incestuous synergy model is God-awful (and likely doomed to failure)…but it is hard to get too worked up if Hyperion was only putting out 12 books a year anyway.

What were its numbers?
