3D Games Software Firm Media Machines Gets $9.4 Million First Round
Media Machines, a San Francisco-based online and 3D virtual world making tools and content creation services, has received $9.4 million in its first round of funding, reports PEHub, citing SEC filings. The round was led by led Mohr, Davidow Ventures.
The company was founded in 2003 by Tony Parisi, co-inventor of the Virtual Reality Modeling Language (VRML) standard back in 1994. CEO Keith McCurdy was VP of online at EA.
