About.com’s China Entry: Abang.com

We’ve been hearing about About.com’s launch in China for a while now, and looks like it has finally launched. The New York Times-owned online guide network has launched its Chinese language site and calling is Abang.com. The site is fully owned and funded by New York Times (NYSE: NYT) Company, which puts it in an interesting position compared to other U.S. companies entering China mainly through local partners or joint ventures.
