Affinity Media Buys Game News Site WoWHead For $1 Million

WoWHead.com, a small news and information site devoted to Vivendi’s World of Warcraft, has been acquired by Affinity Media for an estimated $1 million, Gaming Today reported. World of Warcraft is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game that operates within Vivendi Game’s Blizzard Entertainment unit. As for Affinity Media, a unit within the ZAM Network, which includes other game-related sites like Allakhazam, Thottbot, and MMOInterface.

Gamasutra: Affinity Media was once known as the owner of IGE, though the company has since divested itself of the controversial gold farming business.
