Amazon Acquires Fabric.com For, Well, Fabric

A reminder of the many items on Amazon’s (NSDQ: AMZN) plate… The retailer is acquiring Fabric.com, expanding into an area where its currently pretty limited. Through the acquisition, Amazon will offer more fabric through the core site, though the company will operate as a standalone unit from its base in Marietta, Georgia. It’s pretty much a pure e-commerce deal, though fabric customers may value other media, like patterns and other craft items. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Release.
